CONSTRUCTION PHASES

Our mission is to develop and maintain the Mohawk Village Memorial Park, to honour the children who attended the Mohawk Institute Indian Residential School.  First steps have begun as we progress through these six phases:

  • Phase 1 – Site Preparation
  • Phase 2 – Hardscape Preparation, Basing, Surfacing
  • Phase 3 – Pond Area / Bonfire Area Construction
  • Phase 4 – Pond Area Finishing, Structures, Planting & Topsoil, Fine Grading & Turf
  • Phase 5 – Site Amenities, Play Areas & Structures
  • Phase 6 – Lighting, Signs/Sculptures

The Mohawk Village Memorial Park is a registered charity as well as a federally registered not-for-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors.  The park will be located on Six Nations Territory at 184 Mohawk St., Brantford, Ontario.  Click the pictures below for details:
